About Us

The CQ Group, LLC is an U.S. based professionally licensed engineering firm specializing in innovative process and mechanical design. Our main office is in Mobile, Alabama with additional offices in Birmingham, Alabama and Sarepta, Lousiana.  We have been in business since 2002 and offer a complete spectrum of engineering disciplines for industrial engineering.  To date, we have been contracted by 131 corporate clients to produce complete and detailed engineering designs, including multi-national corporations Evonik, Chevron, Cyanco, ExxonMobil, Linde, Tate & Lyle, Olin Corporation, International Paper, Valero, and Hocking Int’l.

We have successfully completed engineering and design of traditional plant projects including entire turn-key operational plants, delivering process flow sheets with mass and energy balances, piping & instrument diagrams, equipment and instrument specifications, civil and structural designs, and piping designs.  Our managers and leads have led major projects including

Many of our projects have been cutting-edge innovations, new to the marketplace. Some examples are steam heat treatment of waste foodstuffs, bio-diesel plant reactor inversion, closed system scrubbing of power plant flue gases, fuel synthesis via ultra-high temperature pyrolysis, and new feed technology for delivering mining extractive agents,

We also provide ASME pressure vessel and piping design as well as support for fabrication shops, construction contractors, and manufacturing facilities. Our two principals have over 50 years of experience in the design, specification, procurement, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
